On Stage (Cast)
Applications to join the cast in 2026 are open to all registered members of Scouting and Guiding. Casting preference is however for members aged 11 – 26 years of age at the time of the show. Fill out the Expression of Interest form to register your interest in being involved in 2026 and so you can receive advance notification about audition booking, which will open mid February.
Behind the Scenes … Helpers / Backstage Crew / Front of House
Hobart Gang Show offers youth members of Scouts and Girl Guides Tasmania (aged 16+), Leaders and adult supporters the opportunity to be involved “behind the scenery” in various ways including technical, lighting, sound, back stage and more.
To join us as back stage/tech crew, you would need to be available on the day of the crew bump in, plus when cast bump in and availability during the entire show week.
To join us as Front of House helpers (canteen/ticketing/ushering), you would need to be available one hour before curtain up and/or during interval.
Crew bump in (Hobart): Sat 12th September
Cast/Band bump in (Hobart): Sun 13th September
Hobart Performances: 17th, 18th & 19th September 2026 at Mount Nelson Theatre, Hobart College.
Cast Travel to Ulverstone: Thursday 1st October
Crew and Cast bump in (Ulverstone): Thursday 1st October
Ulverstone Performance/s: Friday 2nd October at Leven Theatre - Ulverstone Civic Centre, Patrick Street.
Note - a) Everyone involved with Hobart Gang Show aged 16+ must have a current Working With Vulnerable People card.
b) Everyone aged 18+ must complete relevant Child Safe module/s and all relevant checks/training as determined by the respective Associations.
All back stage/tech crew must be registered members of Scouts Tasmania and in line with Scouts Australia and Girl Guides Tasmania Child Safe policy and Government regulations, everyone involved with Hobart Gang Show aged 16+ must have a current Working With Vulnerable People card. Everyone aged 18+ must complete relevant Child Safe module/s and all relevant checks/training as determined by the respective associations (Scouts Tasmania / Girl Guides Tasmania) all adult back stage/tech crew must be registered members, have completed the relevant Child Safe Scouting and WHS modules, have a current National Police Clearance and WWVP card. Those in Girl Guides must comply with relevant Child Safe policies of Girl Guides.
