'Gather 'round, my dear grandkids and listen close, you see
To the tale of when I ventured back to nineteen twenty three.'
When Grandpa George starts sharing his tales of time travel with his grandkids, they use the time machine to have some adventures of their own. From historic queens to aliens, vikings to robots, nomads to ? (we can't give away the WHOLE storyline, can we) It sounds like fun, sure! But the question remains .... did Grandpa George ever get that recipe for his grandmothers chocolate cake?
HGS 2025 will showcase the amazing talent of all THE GANG, with skits, songs, choreography, sets, lighting, costumes and an intriguing tale.
Youth members from Scouts and Guides of Hobart and surrounding areas are looking forward to taking you on a fun filled journey for their annual production. The youth are involved with writing the script and a number of our songs are written by the music team. Some young adults have begun taking on areas of production as Hobart Gang Show continues to train the youth of Scouting and Guiding in all areas of the performing arts. All members are volunteers with the cast and crew being made up primarily of youth members of Scouts and Guides.
JUST IN TIME is an original script written by Hobart Gang Show youth, performing at Hobart College, Mt. Nelson Theatre.

Founded in 1956, Hobart Gang Show aims to give young people in Scouting and Guiding the opportunity to develop performance skills and perform in a close to professional theatrical environment.
Young people, aged from 11, may be involved with writing the script, music and songs as well as perform. Youth aged from 16 may also be involved with choreography, assist with directing the show and perform in it or instead of being on stage, help out in many other areas of the production including sets, props, costumes, band, sound, lighting and back stage crew. All members are volunteers with the cast and crew being made up primarily of youth members of Scouts and Guides.
Hobart Gang Show welcomes any registered member of Scouts and Girl Guides Tasmania, aged from 11 to be part of the show. Auditions are usually held late March/early April with rehearsals commencing during May and curtain up in September.
